June Jazz Vibes: Mexican Experience to the Rhythm of Querétaro!

No matter which date you choose, you’re in for an amazing time, and each one comes with a little something extra! All of our Immersive Courses follow the same program, but with a special twist. For June, we’ve timed the course to coincide with Querétaro’s Jazz Festival!

This festival is a must for music lovers, filling the city with the smooth sounds of jazz from talented artists around the world. With open-air concerts in stunning locations, it's a perfect way to soak in both the rhythm and the vibrant culture of Querétaro. Jazz vibes and Mexican charm—what more could you want?

From June 25 to 30 Querétaro will once again become the capital of jazz, with the participation of three hundred artists who will be part of the eighth edition of the International Summer Jazz Festival. This number of musicians exceeds the participation achieved last year.

The Secretary of Culture, Paulina Aguado Romero, headed the presentation of the activities of this festival, accompanied by Yann Lepoire, director of the French Coalition; Luis Rodrigo Real, organizer of Festival Promotion of SECULT; Eduardo Núñez, of Sarabanda Jazz; Julio César Alvarado, of the Saxodia ensemble; Roberto de la Peña of the La Exquisitez de Alicia ensemble and Juan Pablo Zavala, representative of Puerta la Victoria.

On this occasion, the participation of artists from Cuba, USA, Argentina, Israel, France and Mexico stands out.

The participation of Cuban musician Arturo Sandoval, who will offer a concert in Plaza de Armas on July 10th at 8:30 p.m., stands out.

The presence of groups from Querétaro is remarkable, with the representation of Javier Regalado & The Groove League, The Bluesmen, Big Band Jazz, La pequeña banda, Pax Jazz Acústico, Nova Madeira, The Infinite Harmony Project, Sarabanda Jazz, Saxodia, Meraki, Zafarrancho Alterna Jazz, Jazz in situ, Filulas Juz, Kiss my jazz, korazound, Evergreen jazz, Aliba Base, Cacles & yhe big gang, La exquisitez de Alicia, Qrosmanouche and Quintet.


In addition to concerts, the program includes a film series, in coordination with DOCUMENTA and the French Coalition; an academic series that includes master classes and conferences with distinguished jazz personalities. A total of sixty-two activities will take place: thirty-three concerts, one educational concert, seven master classes, fifteen screenings and six presentations in other municipalities such as Colón, San Juan del Río, Jalpan de Serra, Corregidora, San Joaquín, Pedro Escobedo, Amealco.

Over the course of five days, nineteen venues will be the setting for this eighth edition of the International Summer Jazz Festival, free of charge, among which the following stand out: Plaza de Armas, Plaza Creadores, Teatro de la República and the Auditorium of the Centro de las Artes de Querétaro.

Each and every one of the events are completely free of charge; the entrance to the events in closed circuits will be with a free ticket, delivered one hour before each concert.
